I make things that combine sewing and embroidery — throws, bags, objects that are useful and also beautiful. The quilting is new. The embroidery is not. The combination is what I'm figuring out, stitch by stitch, and posting about it as I go.

There's a thread that runs through everything I make — a refusal to separate the practical from the beautiful. I built Thirsty Cactus as an embroidery brand, and now I'm pivoting it into something slower and more personal: learning to quilt, on camera, in public.Throws and bags that combine sewing and embroidery techniques. The process documented honestly — the math, the mistakes, the finished thing. This is that journal.Custom embroidery is no longer offered publicly — but it never really stopped. Friends, family, anyone with a fun project — reach out and ask. I have no problem saying no if I'm busy, but I love a good excuse to pick up a hoop.
