Hello

Embroiderer for fun. Product tester by nature. CFO by day, seam-ripper by night.

Work

I make things that combine sewing and embroidery — throws, bags, objects that are useful and also beautiful. The quilting is new. The embroidery is not. The combination is what I'm figuring out, stitch by stitch, and posting about it as I go.

About

There's a thread that runs through everything I make — a refusal to separate the practical from the beautiful. I built Thirsty Cactus as an embroidery brand, and now I'm using it to do something slower and more personal: embroidery for fun, for friends, and as a place to test out new products and techniques.Little gifts, home pieces, and one-off requests that let me play with stitches and materials outside the pressure of a product line. The process documented honestly — the trial runs, the mistakes, the finished thing. This is that journal.Custom embroidery is no longer offered publicly — but it never really stopped. Friends, family, anyone with a fun project — reach out and ask. I have no problem saying no if I'm busy, but I love a good excuse to pick up a hoop.
